Hair Testing Rules Submitted for Department of Transportation
Department of Health and Human Services states they have submitted hair testing rules for Office of Management and Budget for DOT testing.
They also stated oral fluid rules to be submitted before the end of the year.
Significant opportunity for Employers regulated by Department of Transportation testing rules. Hair testing can provide up to 90 day window of drug use. Both Hair testing and Oral Fluid Testing provide a means to have the collection process observed. The observed process of hair testing and oral fluids nets many more positives due to some individuals cheating during the collection process. Combining the observed process with longer detection time of hair testing will yield a much higher positive rate (2 to 3 times) than traditional urine.
