A great article by Fleet Owner.  In this article Kathryn Russo, attorney at Jackson Lewis, P.C., a workplace law firm shared some drug testing best ideas with members at a recent meeting.

Key points to consider:

  • Marijuana laws are changing.  
  • You should have a professional review your policy for both recreationally and medical marijuana.
  • No wiggle room if you have DOT drivers.  There is no accomodation for Marijuana (even if legal in your state) under the DOT rules and regulations.
  • If you are receiving Federal Funds you are subject to the federal Drug Free Workplace Act.
