  4. Must perform annual queries on each driver in the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
  5. Must document and report collection site refusals to the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
  6. Must document and report known drug and/or alcohol use to the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
  7. Must report positive alcohols to the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
  8. Report Return to duty test and completion of follow-up testing program to the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
  9. Medical Review officer will report positive drug screens to the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
  10. Employers may appoint a CTPA, like Workplace Screening Intelligence, to document, report and or query some or all of the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol information.

What is a non contact positive? The non contact positive is issued when the Medical Review Office has contacted the donor at 3 time within a 24 hour period and the donor has not returned any of the messages.

Can Shrooms be tested on a DOT or NON DOT Employee?  Currently, standard drug tests used by Department of Transportation (DOT) or non-DOT employers typically screen for substances such as opioids, cocaine, amphetamines, marijuana, and phencyclidine (PCP). Non DOT panels are easily expanded.   Psilocybin, the psychoactive compound found in mushrooms (often referred to as “shrooms”), is not commonly included in these standard panels. However, specialized tests capable of detecting psilocybin exist but are generally not used in routine employment drug screenings due to their higher cost and the relatively infrequent use of psilocybin compared to other substances. Therefore, while it is technically possible to test for the presence of shrooms in an employee, it is unlikely to be part of a standard drug test unless there is a specific reason to suspect its use and a request for an expanded screening panel is made.

Can a DOT Employee be tested outside of the DOT strict regulations.  Yes, it can happen, however, you should have it in your DOT Drug and Alcohol testing policy.  Some examples are an employer use Hair Follicle Drug Testing or has a must test policy for post-accident testing. You can only test for FMCSA Post accident test according to the FMCSA Guidelines.  If the post-accident doesn’t qualify under FMCSA guidelines, you need to process as a non dot post accident test.
